OSIM provides high-quality specialized services while granting industrial property titles, promoting industrial property by all available means, and ensuring Romania’s international cooperation in accordance with the treaties, conventions, and agreements in its field of activity to which Romania is a party.
The mission of the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM), as a unique authority on the Romanian territory in the field of ensuring industrial property protection, is to support innovation, competitiveness, and profitability as economic growth factors.
The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is the coordinator of Romania’s national and international space activities. The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) is a public institution entirely self-funded, operating under Government Decision no. 923/20.11.1995 and the subsequent decisions of the Ministry of Research and Innovation – National Authority for Scientific Research and Innovation (A.N.C.S.I.).
As a coordinator of the national space research and applications program, ROSA designs and coordinates the implementation of the National Space Programme.
Transilvania University of Brașov is the only university in Romania that has built its own multidisciplinary research institute. At the time of its completion, in 2013, the University’s Research and Development (R&D) was the largest investment in research infrastructure undertaken by a Romanian university by attracting European funds.
The Research and Development Institute of Transilvania University of Brașov emerged from a project of structural funds meant primarily to facilitate the increase of the university’s competitiveness in national and international research.
Based on the collaboration protocols concluded between the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism and various private business entities, the Working Group for Business Innovation (GLIA) was established, with the role of contributing to the development of public policy to support the development of innovative SMEs in Romania.

Established in 2015 to support the need to associate various types of entities in the fields of health and bioeconomy to increase their competitiveness in the targeted fields, through its activities, ROHEALTH promotes and supports cooperation through sustainable national and international partnerships between private companies, universities, research organizations, and public entities/authorities.
The community represented by the ROHEALTH cluster has members with extensive experience in research and development, acquired through participation in large national and international projects, such as those funded by programs FP6, FP7, H2020, INTERREG IVC, structural funds, National Research Plan, etc.
The National Institute for Research – Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest was established in 1970 and represents the most important institute in the field of research, development, and innovation in information and communication technology (ICT) in Romania.
The main activity of ICI Bucharest is represented by the implementation of research – development projects in the field of ICT, support for the development of the information society.
The mission of ICI Bucharest is to support excellence in research and innovation, for the development of the knowledge-based economy in Romania and for better integration in the European and international research space.
